Dr. Mandel earned his dental degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he served as Head Teaching Assistant and graduated with two distinguished honors: the Dr. and Mrs. Albert J. Kazis Endowed Prize in Crown and Bridge, and the Dr. Frank Susi Endowed Prize for Future Dental Academics. He has since completed extensive continuing education in advanced procedures, focusing on dental implants, bone grafting, sinus augmentation, root canal therapy, and full-mouth reconstruction.
At Newman Dental, Dr. Mandel works closely with Dr. Newman to provide thoughtful, comprehensive care, particularly for patients needing surgical or complex restorative treatment. His gentle, reassuring personality has helped many previously anxious individuals feel comfortable and confident receiving the care they need.
Outside the office, Dr. Mandel enjoys woodworking, sourdough baking, leather crafting, painting, calligraphy, and piano. He cherishes his time with his wife, Lauren, a high school English teacher, and together they run a small business creating handmade artisanal gifts and Judaica.
Dr. Hariri was born and raised in Baltimore, where he completed both his undergraduate education and dental degree at the University of Maryland. He continued his clinical training with a General Practice Residency at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, gaining extensive experience in comprehensive dental care before pursuing specialty training in periodontics at New York University.
Dr. Hariri brings advanced expertise in periodontal therapy, implant dentistry, bone grafting, and surgical procedures, with a focus on preserving and rebuilding the foundation of long-term oral health. His approach combines precision-based surgical care with a warm, personalized style that helps patients feel comfortable and confident throughout treatment.

Now residing on the Upper East Side of New York City, Dr. Hariri enjoys being an active part of the community he serves. Outside the office, he values staying active through basketball and spending meaningful time with his wife and children, who are the center of his life.
Beena has been a proud member of the Newman Dental team for five years and brings over 30 years of experience as a dental hygienist. Aviva has been caring for patients in this office since 2008, beginning her career here under Dr. Mansdorf’s tenure and continuing proudly with Newman Dental after its transition in 2021. With extensive experience as a dental hygienist, Aviva is known for her gentle touch paired with a thorough, detail-oriented approach. Tammy has been part of the Newman Dental team since 2022 and is often the first warm welcome patients receive when they arrive. She loves working in an environment where the team is genuinely supportive and positive, and where everyone looks out for one another and for their patients.
