Most minor mouth sores heal within one to two weeks. During this time the tissue gradually repairs itself and discomfort usually improves each day. If a sore persists longer than two weeks, it should be evaluated by a dentist. At Newman Dental we carefully examine any lesion that does not heal normally. This allows us to rule out other conditions and recommend appropriate care.
